Biography
Sachin Rangarajan is a biomedical engineer with extensive experience in translational research and medical device development. He graduated UC Berkeley with a Bioengineering B.S. in 2013, and he graduated the joint UC Berkeley - UCSF Master of Translational Medicine program in 2014. Prior his work with the UCSF Department of Surgery, Sachin gained expertise in academic research and device development as an undergraduate researcher in Mechanical Engineering and Bioengineering labs at UC Berkeley, and as an independent researcher at a small biotech startup. After joining the UCSF Department of Surgery in 2014, Sachin has been collaborating closely with department surgeons and has lead engineering efforts on several innovative device projects, including the SmartDerm project and the Lamprey retractor device.
