    Biography

    Dr. Durgadevi Pisharam’s journey into healthcare education is rooted in a deep and enduring curiosity about learning—how people engage with knowledge, how ideas connect across disciplines, and how education can create meaningful impact in the real world. Her academic path spans multiple fields, from classical literature to environmental science, shaping a perspective that values both analytical thinking and human-centered insight. 

    Today, she serves as a Administrative Officer, where she designs and supports multiple programs such as UCSF Surgical Innovations and UCSF Stanford Pediatric Device Consortium. Her work is driven by a clear purpose: to create learning experiences that not only inform but also inspire—ultimately improving the quality of care patients receive. 

    Drawing on her multidisciplinary background, Dr. Pisharam approaches education as a bridge between knowledge and practice. She is particularly interested in developing inclusive, engaging learning environments that foster collaboration, critical thinking, and continuous growth. 

    At the heart of her work is a commitment to lifelong learning and meaningful impact— supporting individuals, strengthening systems, and contributing to a more thoughtful and effective healthcare landscape.
